The original idea of so called "reddiquette" where people don't down vote because they disagree, they vote based on whether it contributes to the discussion or not. But obviously that's not easy to enforce in any way
I think the main plan is 2 days to start, but prolonged if nothing changes. Each sub could do it's own thing though
Reddit hasn't really been the same for a long time anyways. I liked the feel of Reddit in the old days better, and this kind of has the same vibe
