You know, I think I did hear it. It went something like:
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Raw Strawberry the Divine?
I thought not. It’s not a story the farmers would tell you. It’s a produce legend.
Raw Strawberry was a berry of unmatched beauty, so luscious and radiant she could make the sun jealous. She was said to be so naturally sweet… she could caramelize just by basking in moonlight.
She became so ripe… so powerful… she could even prevent other fruits from spoiling.
The other fruit feared her.
Unfortunately, she became too perfect.
The commenters fought over her. She was plucked at the peak of her ripeness… thr0000witaway devoured her delicious slit before she ever made it to jam.
It’s ironic, really. She could preserve others… but not herself.
