Yeah I did this way back with a different back exercise, rope pulldown. I had been taught the right way, slowly messed it up, then abruptly realized one day when someone pointed out that my arms were bent. Fixed my form and immediately injured myself because I did not consider that, without my arms, I should be doing a lower weight.

Thank you anyway

Hello, hope you do not mind additional questions.

If I block an instance on PieFed, do their votes count?

I’ve preferred Qobuz to Tidal since they were hocking MQA snake oil and lying about being lossless. Tidal eventually stopped using MQA, but I can’t help feel leftover ick at their dishonesty.

Yeah that tracks. I’ve always been comfort minded so the Model 3 feels really bad to me.

For materials, they’re like one step above hard plastic. They don’t feel like high quality versions of whatever material they are, if that makes sense. “Just… fine” is a good descriptor. Unfortunately I don’t spend a ton of time in its competitors so I may have been unfair to the materials by comparing it to more expensive options. And yeah, in my case the barebones interior feels less comfortable.

I do hope you keep liking the car! None of us ex Tesla supporters could have seen this coming, so it shouldn’t hinder your enjoyment.

You’d pay more money for a something you can do free right now, just in case a hypothetical product in the future does that?

Just thinking, I bet capitalism is ready and willing to provide if there are a lot of likeminded. I expect the current TV manufacturers would make smart TVs internet-only if a dumb TV company succeeded, then undercut that company with slightly cheaper dumb TVs of their own, Amazon style. That’s a win-win for them: they get to charge more for what we have for free currently, and demand more advertisement money since the audience of the cheaper smart TV is now captive. Their profit margin would still be higher than the dumb TV company because they’re already making them, too.

I don’t see a version of events where existing manufacturers lose if this happens. This feels like a road to hell paved with good intentions.

Edit: to be clear I’m very much on your side with “fuck the tv makers and fuck advertising as a whole”. I just truly fail to see how this could be anything but free market research for the existing manufacturers and an acceleration of the enshittification (hey, an accurate use!). I’m quite open to alternative theories.

Fair, but I don’t think we should want to pay a premium for a dumb TV in fear of a hypothetical future. Perhaps worthwhile if it ever happens, but until then buying a subsidized smart TV and keeping it dumb seems fully better to me.

Can you provide an example of one that only works online? I have never heard of that.

I guess I wanna clarify that it’s bad in my opinion, not objectively. I’ll return to this later. I just don’t wanna seem like I’m shitting on your car or the reasons you got it.

Cars are typically comfortable when they have good ride quality and interior. The Model 3 has the absolute worst in both regards of any EV I’ve tried. The suspension is legendarily poor and is my primary complaint— it truly feels like punishment. As if every road imperfection was multiplied, not dampened. They could’ve given it the interior of an S class and I’d still find it uncomfortable. Yet the interior is sterile and features low quality materials. I tried my best to recall any one comfort besides heated seats, but I truly believe it is bereft of them.

So, back to how this is my personal opinion. I am a traditional comfort guy: good ride quality, creature comforts, high quality materials. For those who don’t care about that, the Model 3 is a great “get me there” vehicle. The software is good and it has ample driving assistance. The supercharger network is unrivaled if you don’t mind funding Musk (I do, so even though mine can now access the network I won’t use it). It’s very functional. Just not physically comfortable.

I’ll admit that most of the EVs I’ve tried are Model S competitors, not 3, but I’d still take either Ioniqs or the Mach-E over the 3. Also the latest Model 3 improved the suspension, but I’ve yet to try it

Why not purchase one subsidized by ads then just not connect it to the internet? Seems like a win-win

That song gives me a physical revulsion every time I hear it. It's more than just disliking a song. This is something that tries to pretend it's a song, but ultimately isn't. It's unsettling. Like if a monkey skinned a person and dressed in that skin and carried on as if it were a person.

My Pal Foot Foot is a monkey wearing a human skin-suit and trying to be a human.

From an old reddit comment about this song. I don’t think it’s that bad, but maybe time has made it grow on me.

One downside is that Teslas are uncomfortable. I liked them a lot circa 2016, the Model S used to be my favorite vehicle. They simply haven’t held a competitive advantage, or in the case of the 3/Y, are genuinely quite bad. I’d rather pay more for something better, and that was before the CEO became this.

TFCC injury (lemmy.world)
submitted 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) by thrawn@lemmy.world to c/fitness@lemmy.world

Got a partial TFCC tear climbing like six months ago and recovery has been slow. Ortho doesn’t think it needs operating and PT likes progress, so I guess I’m inclined to agree.

Anyone here have personal experience? Things are mostly recovered but it’s been very, very slowly improving for a couple months now. Like barely. Is the tail end meant to take this long?

Edit: I’m in my late 20s

It always brings happiness when I see a Voyager update. Thanks @aeharding@vger.social for continuing to work on the app. Couldn’t imagine Lemmy without it.

Clinton is a ready-made replacement. She possesses an unparalleled resume and an unmatched depth of experience. She has consistently redefined the roles she has served, from secretary of State and U.S. senator to first lady and Children’s Defense Fund attorney. Her extensive background in domestic and international affairs is not just impressive; at a time when global politics are increasingly volatile and complex, her experience is priceless. Her continued advocacy for children’s rights and health care—a topic of ever-increasing importance post-pandemic—adds another layer of appeal.

First, thanks again for making this app. It’s excellent and I’m always impressed when I use it.

I have an unusual and possibly niche feature request inspired by Alien Blue: swiping forwards and backwards from any edge. So from the left edge you can swipe right as if to go back, but reverse the motion and go forwards instead. And vice versa. It feels like using momentum to navigate either way with a single finger. Discord also had this feature until the mobile app redesign.

Video example here, it says it’ll expire in two days but I don’t know where else to put it. This allows for satisfying operation and one handed browsing, such as when vigorously masturbating to tech news.

I understand if this is too niche to add, it’s merely something I’ve wanted every app to have since AB. Thanks for reading!

Ps, I would also appreciate an option to put the vote buttons on the left. Years of AB then Apollo have gotten me quite used to that, and maybe left handed people would appreciate it. No rush on either of these if you choose to work on them, I’ve been meaning to ask for both of these since the days of web app only. I actually meant to ask Apollo’s dev for the swipe thing too, back when it released in the App Store, but didn’t interact much back on reddit and never got around to it.
