Now that's an owl with an attitude.

That looks very painful. Plus some owls use their feet for so much it must really hinder things. Glad they got into the right place to get better.

I love how we can just search up anything now. Still have to dodge the sketchy sourced ones but truly all of human knowledge at our fingertips so we can answer all our burning questions at any time of the day is amazing.

Oh I would never put down the efforts and commitment of people who dedicate themselves to animal rescue. It can be thankless and heartbreaking sometimes.

And humans really are the number one affector of the environment so any bit we can do to recover is good.

All the best to Webby indeed!

The eternal why. All kids have that phase. Even animal kids.

A rare condition and the ability to fix it. It's nice to read when human intervention actually is positive since our species has already done a lot of wrecking so this feels like harm reduction.

I hope the owl lives a long time. I wonder if it's genetically passed down though. Might end up cultivating owls that have that.

That surprised face is probably going to last for quite a while. Poor owl.

At least it didn't become hawk food so there's a bit of luck.

That's really a fascinating factoid. Reminds me of when smaller birds prepare to lay eggs and some of them are just totally swollen.

Wow, that's really obvious eye degeneration. At least it's in safe hands.

I wish to express my greatest appreciation for those most magnificent of ears.

Yes yes, they're not actually ears. But also, just look at them.

This is better actually. Full definition white owl missile sighted.

Been using Connect as my app of choice. Great work btw.

Requesting that when I refresh the front page, it also brings me back to the top. Right now when I refresh it remembers how far I have scrolled down which means I have to scroll back up to see new posts. Hope it's possible.

Keep up the awesome work.

So just something that's been on my mind. At my workplace there's an automatic road barrier that lifts up and down when vehicles arrive. However, it's not used for a carpark system when people wave their tickets or something. It just goes up and down when a vehicle shows up.

However, it sometimes goes up for when say a pushcart is being rolled over whereas it wouldn't for a guy pushing a bin.

So tldr, how does an automatic road barrier decide that yes, a vehicle is coming, and therefore opens up?
