I did! I recreated all the various group chats and sent the invite link. The only one I couldn't move was the work chat, so I just told them they could reach me via SMS or call 🤷♀️

I will say I thought the same, but this finally convinced me to switch to Signal. It was surprisingly easy to get friends/family to follow - takes two clicks to install the app and set it up.
It's inconvenient, but it's small steps like these that eventually bring large scale change
