Probably a couple people but it has never actually come up in conversation. I'll ask next time I see them.

In our house one of our common lazy dinner options is something that we simply refer to as gen-mex. It is a combination of a bunch of ingredients commonly associated with Mexican food assembled in whatever way you want. I think most commonly it resembles burritos or nachos, but it can certainly be modified to look like just about anything.

What I see here I would certainly classify as gen-mex.

Oh God you just reminded me of a funny story. I had a boss that was probably 600lbs+. He was huge. The bathroom was a single occupant situation, and the toilet was positioned what I would consider a normal distance from the wall next to it. Typical distance to allow reach to the to dispenser.

This monster of a human had literally crushed a crater into the drywall from sitting on the toilet and being pushed up against wall. Every time I used the bathroom and saw it I laughed a little. I think I was just amazed this person could actually function.

I've no embarrassment about shitting in public, but I still prefer my own bathroom for sanitary and comfort reasons.

Good news. After reading the article, it seems like the content and the course will still exist, it is just that Yale has decided that it cant afford to pay ULA's to support the class.

For those who just want to learn, the course content can still be found here: https://www.edx.org/cs50

Yep, I love it. I told my wife about it and she thinks I'm crazy.

Mice don't go inside for food, the go in for shelter and then find food. Not having food won't make them leave. As long as you have a warm place to stay, they are going to stick around unless you help them leave.

Fuck yeah, I'd wear a cloak.

I loved my Jelly Star until the screen on it failed. Trying to get it fixed under warranty seemed practically impossible so eventually I just gave up and went back to my old phone.

Not quite what you are asking, but the first time I saw the video from 9-11 of a plane crashing into a building was around 2014-2015 when I moved to NYC. The people I was working with there couldn't seem to believe that I had never seen it.

You're right I somehow missed it in my skim of the comments.

Good suggestion, thanks. I'm not always sure what area I'm going to be working in, but there's almost always a convenience store around.

I started a job where I don't have any access to a kitchen to warm up food. On a whim, I bought an insulated thermos to bring hot food in. I tried it for the first time yesterday, and I have to say it was so pleasant to have have an instantly ready hot meal when I stopped to have lunch.

I was never big on photographing my food but I found this one particularly pretty. It was over a decade ago, and I don't remember what restaurant it was. Somewhere in NYC.

I just noticed the cucumbers I bought say "wash before using" not "wash before eating" and I want to believe it is a subtle joke deliberately made by the person who designed the packaging.

I found it amusing and I wanted to share it.

I want to replace one half of this with longer wire, but I am not confident about the name of the connector used.
