Surely the devil has something to say about all of this?

Step 1: Steal all of the resources.

Step 2: Make everyone forget you stole all of the resources.

Step 3: Give some of the resources back. (Don't you look so brilliant)

That isn't what I'm saying at all.

tbh this just sounds to me like a bunch of people running around moaning at other countries to solve world problems. Take some responsibility.

Defund anarchy.

Yeah that doesn't make it make sense either. The UK should have raised military spending 3 years ago in anticipation of US flippancy on the subject of Ukraine.... checks notes... because they helped France in WWII?

Please finish the following sentence for me: The citizens of the UK should put up with even worse public services because...

That doesn't make it make sense though.

edit: In case you weren't aware, the UK has been doing what you've been suggesting since before the USA decided to support Ukraine.

If the USA isn't responsible for what's going on in Ukraine, then why is the UK?

Make it make sense.

Once you are a billionaire, you get a nationally broadcast pizza party on CSPAN and we engrave your name into a plaque in some “hall of smart winners” somewhere in DC. You are declared a champion of the economy and the President shakes your hand and declares a one-time national day to be in your honor. Or they read your name during the superbowl that year or whatever. Your place in history is locked in.

No, you've won the game so you start over with zero dollars on level 2 (someone breaks one of your legs to make it harder).

I find this opposition to DEI somewhat perverse since to my mind it has mostly been a tool to add some limited legitimacy to a cruel system devoid of humanity; it was there to wash away the more obvious biases of an unjust system.

To my mind to remove DEI is to accelerate the collapse of the West. It seems counterintuitive to me that the people who are pushing for this seem to be the ones with the most to lose from it.

I've recently been reading a little about Nijinsky and am wondering whether there is any online film of Nijinsky dancing available.

He was committed to an asylum in 1919 and was active shortly before this. This is well within the bounds of film and given his contemporaneous popularity I'm surprised I haven't been able to find any clips of him dancing online.

Does anyone know whether any footage exists?

Because I've lured you here with my question I'll give you this clip of Paul Giamatti doing a brilliant reading from Nijinsky's diaries: https://invidious.protokolla.fi/watch?v=XYnxo9K9fQo / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYnxo9K9fQo (beware, probably NSFW).

A UK Member of Parliament recently suggested that there should be a Government minister for men which would presumably do similar things to the existsing minister for Women.

https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/reactions-pour-in-as-mp-renews-calls-for-official-minister-for-men-356501/

This has thrown up a series of heated discussions on social media about whether this is part of the 'backlash' against feminsm, or whether there is a legitimate need for wider support of men's issues.

As a man who believes that there are legitimate issues disproportionately affecting men which should be addressed, what I really want help in understanding is the opinion that men don't need any targetted support.

I don't want to start a big argument, but I do want to understand this perspective, because I have struggled to understand it before and I don't like feeling like I'm missing something.
