Enough Musk Spam
For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.
Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.
Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.
Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

To be sure, Von Braun definitely was the director of the nazi rocket program. After the war however he was transferred to the US where he became the director of the US rocket program.
So TIL: Americans love nazis when they’re useful
There were quite a few. The Russians also moved quite a few. Both governments were so obsessed with each other they forgot about war crimes. A significant number of space pioneers across the world had direct ties to human experimentation. Shit’s fucked up.
USSR did the same thing, definitely not an exclusively American sin
Ew, running whataboutism defense? Shoo.
Oh yeah, for sure, can't have someone make an actual good point
A good point? What's the point except to downplay Americans use of Nazi party members? Aint nothing "good" about it.
Spreading the blame around is not downplaying.
It is when the only reason your spreading is because the conversation is currently focused on America and it's actions.
It's a deflection.
This is a thread about Elon Musks dad naming his son after a nazi's scifi character, I'm simply expanding on the information being provided.
I am not American so there really isn't any reason I'd bother defending the US.
