Known as Mike from PA, Mike is a progressive Political Activist from Pennsylvania and is known as the Steelman of the left, Mike advocates for union labor and social democracy.

So… False flag Tweet?

[–] alvvayson@lemmy.dbzer0.com 34 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Progressives aren't libs, so nothing false flag about a progressive saying "the libs might have been right".

The assumption that anyone who calls liberals "libs" is also pro-Trump is incorrect.

[–] spujb@lemmy.cafe 1 points 1 week ago

exactly lol it’s worse than a false flag he actually believes what he’s saying as a progressive

[–] spujb@lemmy.cafe 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

no he’s approaching this from an absurd leftist position, i actually thought more people would know who this guy was so sorry for the confusion

mike from PA is what a lot of people categorize as a tankie and was one of the people who was VERY vocal about not voting for harris under the pretext that trump might be better. so he does a lot of rhetoric that’s basically semi-MAGA advocacy

I'm not American so I don't care either way. But it was my understanding that he voted against supporting the genocide of Palestinians. Kamala was still going to support the genocide.

They get to see how well that theory plays out. Going from someone wagging the finger and maybe holding back some weapons to someone saying point blank to ethnic cleanse the region and change it to "Trump Gaza"

[–] spujb@lemmy.cafe 4 points 1 week ago

yes that’s the reason. i do not judge most voters personally, but i do judge those who advocated against harris publicly and vocally when their understanding of international politics is this bad.

[–] xavier_berthiaume@jlai.lu 3 points 1 week ago

This is correct.

Missing from that summary is the fact that he's a confirmed moron.

i literally have not seen one good piece of analysis from the man despite him ostensibly being “on my side.”

don’t put your voice leaders and influencers on pedestals, folks. not every pro-union organizer has correct opinions on the rest of the political landscape.
