What are you actually talking about? You want to give credit to the 9 Republicans that voted for it but not to the two hundred and thirteen Democrats that also did!? In the current political reality, this would have failed if all Republicans voted against it, that's true. But it also would have failed if as few as 8 Democrats did!

I'm an Independent, but this "both-sides"-ing is infuriating. It's literally having double-standards: people demonize and expect perfection from the Democratic party while the Republican one is literally disappearing people off the street, threatening allies, illegally firing people, and stealing money from our congressionally-approved public services to give to billionaires.

In reality, this was a rare bipartisan victory and should be treated as such.
