Apparently short nails are a fashion statement now as opposed to a thing that just happens because you work with your hands too much and your thyroid is underactive - uh, I mean they're totally short because I AM A CONFIDENT WOMAN. But I've always envied women with naturally long nails, and enjoy looking at other people's professionally manicured nails.

if it's something like metal or a hard plastic surface, I actually love the sensory experience of my nails touching before my fingers do - that satisfying clacking feeling, etc. But imagining my nails touching certain fleece-y blankets makes me feel literally like puking, omg. So I think I understand, lol
