It's been a police state for a long time. We are just now turning it on non-immigrants and white people, so the rest of the population is getting a taste of what black people and minorities have been subjected too for decades.

I get what you mean re police state and domestic terrorism, but I don't believe blacks and minorities were ever kidnapped and trafficked to foreign death camps, let alone without even being charged with a crime.

In less than a month, the nazi party have already disappeared 1/3 the total number sent to Gitmo the last 23 years.

This is not normal. The USA no longer exists. It is now, unequivocally, a fascist dictatorship.

You're right. They weren't trafficked. It used to be acceptable de jure to just kill them here up until the late 1800s and de facto into at least the 1950s.

I agree this is a backslide from the civil rights advancements of the latter half of the 20th century.

It's pretty normal if you draw a line connecting civil rights from 1776 to 2025. The USA absolutely still exists, and among them are the descendants of the people who cheered on presidents like Andrew Jackson. It's been an authoritarian regime for most people. We just got a nice little break sometime after 1960. The current kerfuffle is about the middle class (part of the working class) potentially getting sucked into the oppression. I don't mean this in a hopeless way. I believe the US can pull it together and restore the national spirit that once told monarchists that they can take their authoritarianism and shove it, but it absolutely needs to include any American this time, not just the ownership class.

In February 2015, Ackerman published a series of articles in The Guardian describing the Homan Square facility as "an off-the-books interrogation compound, rendering Americans unable to be found by family or attorneys while locked inside what lawyers say is the domestic equivalent of a CIA black site." Ackerman asserted that the Homan Square facility was the "scene of secretive work by special police units," where the "basic constitutional rights" of "poor, black and brown" Chicago city residents were violated. Ackerman asserted that "Chicagoans who end up inside do not appear to have a public, searchable record entered into a database indicating where they are, as happens when someone is booked at a precinct. Lawyers and relatives insist there is no way of finding their whereabouts. Those lawyers who have attempted to gain access to Homan Square are most often turned away, even as their clients remain in custody inside."

Not offshore, but still.

I agree, this is beyond anything the last Trump administration did.

What do you think Gitmo(GTMO) and other military black sites are for?

I don't believe blacks and minorities were ever kidnapped and trafficked to foreign death camps

Historically domestic death camps have been good enough. A prison where people are serving life sentences is a death camp, just a very slow, inefficient one.

Those sent were charged with a crime, but not convincted. The laziness to not even coerce a plea deal as is tradition is the only real deviation from the "status quo".

I do appreciate that the fascist morons are too stupid to realize that the "inefficiencies" they saw were design features not flaws. Allowing for the whole charade to be exposed without having to argue against each individual part of the kafkaesque machine.

In less than a month, the nazi party have already disappeared 1/3 the total number sent to Gitmo the last 23 years.

Can you provide some more specifics+sources on those numbers so I can also reference them later with more specifics?

Remember_the_tooth is spot on, but also glosses over the 20-21st century transition and the litany of bullshit that led to the modern police state. Jim Crow Joe and the 90s crime bill, Bush Jr.'s coup via Bush V Gore and the subsequent formation of DHS, expansion of black sites via the Iraq war, etc.

Trumpistan is not a joke.
