This feels very confusing. Sombody from lemmy.ml is gonna reply to me not knowing they are defeded.

I think there should be a label telling users from lemmy.ml saying "This user's instance has defederated your instance".

This only applies to old posts. New post will not be send to lemmy.ml anymore.

they won't be sent by infosec.pub directly, but other instances may send activities referencing content from infosec.pub, which will lead lemmy.ml to pull it from the source as well.

this includes for example posts and comments in lemmy.world communities, because lemmy.world will announce those to lemmy.ml.

oh yea actually this makes sense, because lemmy.ml does not block infosec

Um... no, this is a new account. The defederation happened a while ago, which is the reason why I chose infosec.pub

You can still manually query accounts, yes. But that is not what I said.
