I gotta go with my man Ice-T on Law & Order: SVU. While the writing does him no favors in making his character seem slow on the uptake, his acting usually consists of loudly talking in a monotone that feels like it was too loudly mixed in ADR even though it's not.

And he's had 25 years to develop and improve his portrayal of that character, still all the emotional conveyance of a breeze block.

(Will still watch 90s action movies with him, though.)

I dunno, he's gotten better over time.

Is he Brando? Nah, not even close, but he's put in effort into the role, and it shows.
