RULES

  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
  4. Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world
  5. Keep it clean and SFW
  6. No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

For me, driving. Its not that driving is difficult or i'm just not able to drive. Its that there are just too many awful drivers and pedestrians you have to care about on the road.

I don't get the down votes. Probably people who live in that fantasy land of idealism how they think the real world works.

The truth is life is a power struggle, and if you don't develop a spine and learn to stand up to bullying, you're going to have a very sad life.

The whole "zero tolerance bullying" policies have been one of the most power-stripping concepts ever misapplied to the world of children. It makes them naive and powerless and believing that they are not going to face bullying at every second of their life. It further robs them of the ability to develop a spine and the ability to stand up for oneself.

"Tell an adult" is a joke. Either humiliate your bully or smash them over the head with a concrete block is how you do it in real life.

200%

I am amazed how most people are willing to give up their agency and hope that the institutions that enable bullying will some how protect them form it.

A bully inherently only understands one language. Give them what they are dishing out and all of sudden they runn to the teacher 🤡
