5. Ad hominem attacks
Any kind of personal attacks are expressly forbidden. If you can't argue your position without attacking a person's character, you already lost the argument.
6. Off-topic tangents
Stay on topic. Keep it relevant.
7. Instance rules may apply
If something is not covered by community rules, but are against lemmy.zip instance rules, they will be enforced.

It would be quicker to either:
For me yes, but having the question answered in the comments acts as a multiplier for subsequent people who will come to this comment thread.
Wouldn't it be better at that if your top-level comment contained the information directly instead of a question that may or may not go unanswered?
Fair idea. What are your thoughts on doing just that?
