Which problem would that be, exactly? Life just seems like an endless series of responsibilities towards others, but the instant you need the slightest thing back, it's "that's not the way it works", "but actually that's not our job", etc

Why should I take others into account? No one ever took me into their account, except to solve their problems.

Because you're a social animal who needs human contact and compassion to thrive. As disagreeable as that may sound it's a big part of staying healthy. I get that it's hard though.

Strange. When I needed social contact and the same humanity afforded murderers in jail, all I got was "you're weird, go away". So I did. Now don't complain if I'm far away.

If I'm such a social animal, where were these people when I was young? Where was the compassion? Nowhere.

Ah but the moment I was useful to fix someone's problems, all of a sudden everyone remembers my name and my phone number.

I get that you've given up. I'm just saying you're worse off for it. I'm sorry you've had such terrible experiences.

You've heard the adage "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"? In social situations, the greasy wheel gets more grease, and the squeaky wheel gets replaced and thrown away.
