The announcement follows Newsom’s 2024 executive order, which directed encampment cleanups after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling granted state and local governments more authority to remove them.

without expanding the services necessary to ensure they won’t just build an encampment somewhere else.

Based on what? The article stated the housing dept is involved. So where are you getting this information from?

The article linked a previous piece that has more context: https://ktla.com/news/california/homelessness-experts-weigh-in-on-newsoms-executive-order-on-encampments/|

"Kushel applauded the Newsom administration for addressing the ongoing crisis and its root cause but noted that California would have to make strides in closing the income and housing cost gaps so people can afford housing while also working to increase capacity at shelters so more unhoused individuals could utilize that option."

Yes that’s why he’s involved housing. It said it in the article had you actually read it.

I did read the article, there’s no need to be a condescending prick.

It doesn’t say anywhere in the article that he’s actually increasing housing, just that he’s “connecting” people with housing services. The article I linked then says that housing services in the state are stretched past full capacity.

Ditto. Take your own advice before you be giving it. I’m just responding in kind. Don’t like it then you can change tone or cry and leave. But expect more if you keep this up.

But either way, sidestepping your ad hominem attack and getting back to the point: you’re still extracting your own narrative for no other reason than to vilify a character(which is not surprising considering you couldnt resist ad hominem even under a basic rage bait complaint).

I will remind you This title was misleading to bait rage. And your filled with conjecture to keep up that rage without even nodding to this kind of distasteful media. It’s disgusting. It’s disgusting when dems do it. It’s disgusting when reps do it. It’s disgusting when tiktokers keep it up when it’s been pointed out. I will not change my mind on this. It is disgusting.

You don't get to claim some moral high ground if you insult someone and they respond in kind. It's not some kind of ad hominem logical fallacy, it's just two people spitting at each other.

You're saying I'm "extracting a narrative" and "filled with conjecture" and yet you haven't even responded to the additional source I brought in that pointed out valid concerns with Newsom's approach to homelessness and the lack of resources as reported by homeless service professionals. The point isn't just to vilify him, the point is to hold him accountable for real policy failures and not let him get away with anti-homeless campaigns that do nothing to solve the actual problem.

I've brought evidence that supports my claims, and all you've done is attack me and call me disgusting. Truly, every accusation is a confession.
