“BD” refers to Franco-Belgian comics, but let's open things up to include ALL Euro comics and GN's. Euro-style artistry from around the world is also welcome. ^^

-BD = "Bandes dessinées"
-BDT = Bedetheque
-GN = graphic novel
-LBK = Lambiek
-LC = "Ligne claire"

You're correct that "parodying" with a clear inspiration from racist depictions of people is not okay, regardless of the intent. Uderzo didn't make up the giant red lips of the Numidians on his own, for example.

Well, "correct" and "incorrect" are humanistic terms that don't exist in nature or outside of human cultural & societal norms. For some, it is "correct" to own slaves, treat women as borderline-chattel, and yes-- depict outsiders and other cultures with deliberate false intention.

I just don't happen to subscribe to those things.
