Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

I don't really like scary movies, I'm anxious enough as it is.

The Ring was the best and scariest though.

Maybe you needed to grow up with CRT TVs and VCRs to feel the fear in your bones. Idk if anyone under 20 would be able to get into it.

I'm in the weird group that preferred the Hollywood remake of that to the Japanese original.

The original had a stronger atmosphere, I'll give it those props. But the story was a mess to the point that the writers, having written themselves into a corner, just randomly made a character psychic to move the story forward: no hint of this before that point, and it never really came up again afterwards. There were a few other things like that which just grated on my nerve.

The Hollywood version didn't have the same atmosphere (but was still pretty intense) and for that had a more coherent story that didn't just drop weird stuff like "whoopsie, psychic!" into the mix.
