Maybe don't brag about your job.
We don't know if they were bragging or not. It's pretty common to ask what someone's job is during small talk. For all we know they literally just said their job title and left it at that.
Guy did say it like five times in one paragraph, just in case people forgot it before they finished reading his post.

I think bragging about how much money or education you have is very low class. I also think this is how you end up with a golddigger wife. Better to hide your wealth.
Jobs come up pretty damn often in conversation with strangers. If they ask, youre obliged to tell them the truth. Doing so would hardly constitute bragging in my opinion.
