Before you get too hyped there don't appear to be any actual pokemon in this world:

The series will tell the story of Madoka Akagi, a young girl who moves to Tokyo and becomes enthralled with the world of Pokémon when her mother gifts her a Game Boy and a copy of Pokémon Red.

the trailer is full of musical cues player may recognize

I really dislike Gen 1’s music. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s more that anyone that ever makes a video about Pokemon has used the theme or Route 1 or Viridian Forest in said video. There’s plenty of other great scores throughout the franchise, but we gotta cling to these because nostalgia.

Idk, maybe I’m just getting old and jaded with this company clinging to “muh nostalgia” like Ethel clinging to life support.
