What's the issue? Is assuming that op meant that all 9/11's are referencing the twin towers your argument? That people aren't allowed to be surprised that an event which changed thousands of lives is being brought up by children? Spoilers: you sound like a jerk

I agree. It's been 23 years... We can't expect everyone to have the world trade center association forever. There are college graduates born after September 11, 2001.

It's one of the pillars of the military industrial complex, it's not going away any time soon. What it actually means to individuals is largely irrelevant, beyond "9/11 bad thing happen"
