The "teapot protocol" got brought up today at work during a discussion about response codes. It reminded me of the coffee cam, which actually led to the April fools joke in discussion.

Love the trojan coffee cam!

A couple decades ago when I was an office drone, I badly wanted to rig up something similar but the way the cabinets were arranged it was too difficult. The easier system was whoever went to the break room would knock on the wall if the pot was full.

My friend was inspired by this and made almost daily pictures of the "state of the ashtray" from work
