Look, it's very simple. It's not safe in the US for us. Canadians should know that it's a terrible idea to travel there.

This lady's turning herself into knots with the mental gymnastics of condemning this treatment and yet supporting the administration that did that to her

She sells toxic positivity, she can’t admit that the people involved in what she went through are fucked up

Mooney says she left a lot of women behind when she was released and wants to shine a light into Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centres and how people end up trapped there.

"I met a girl who had been in there eight months," she said.

She says the women helped her get out — and urged her to tell their stories. Mooney says there were about 140 women in her unit at the Otay Mesa Detention Center, one of the first places she was held, in the Ysidro Mountains foothills of Otay Mesa overlooking the U.S.-Mexico border. She describes how most of the women she met had lived in the U.S. illegally and overstayed visas — detained with no warning when they reapplied.

"You meet all of the girls who had trekked from India, from Iran, from Africa, they're covered head to toe in bug bites and scars from their journey and they paid all of this money, gave up everything they owned to come to America and then end up in jail and they're all most likely getting shipped back to their countries," said Mooney.

  • What happened to her was wrong
  • She tried to circumvent the American Visa process at a very bad time
  • She to this day is still a MAGA grifter

She drinks "health" water and is suspicious of Big Pharma so she's MAGA? I'm gonna need someone to connect the dots here, I just see an average wellness influencer.

That is more convincing, I don't know what those profiles post about but I can guess. Low-information/"I hate politics" types tend to fall for reactionary attitudes to social issues.

I understand that there's a big crossover between right-wing beliefs, doubting pharmaceutical companies, and promoting dubious wellness products, but your original photo just didn't demonstrate a direct connection to MAGA ideology to me.

Wasn't my comment, I just remembered seeing this in an earlier post and backed up the statement made by that commenter.

Oh, my bad lol. Thanks for your comment, definitely adds some credibility to what that person said.

There is no doubt in my mind this is all driven by the private for-profit prison system in the US.

There is zero reason to detain anyone for weeks/months that has not been charged with any crime, and wants to return home.

Wanting to be healthy is MAGA? Is there other evidence she is MAGA, because I eat healthy and exercise and avoid pharmaceuticals and I’m a socialist.

I'm reading and I can't find anything in her being MAGA

Saunders says that Mooney plans to appeal her revoked visa and loves the U.S. She was pursuing a marketing career there selling a hemp-infused water product – after running bars and restaurants in Vancouver.

Like that line from the article is about the closest I can find. I can see that she's an actress but nothing about being MAGA.

She definitely is maple MAGA, you can tell by her follows on Instagram. There’s a link in the previous post of this story

Edit: oh someone already found it and added to another comment on this post

I'm going to assume that you guys are correct. I sound like a prick when I say that but I don't have instagram and will never have one so I can't check the followers. As the comment claims that she follows MAGA people which is a red flag to me.

She has almost no posts though. Just says something about wanting people to be happy unless there are other things that are hidden to me being a public viewer.

It's a bit of a shame, but I've ran out of sympathy for MAGA-types a long time ago. Although I'm not happy with what she went through for sure.

Thanks for replying!

Selling “healthy” water (named “holy water” lol) is evidence that she’s a grifter. That she’s MAGA you can tell by her follows
