I have so many communities I want to crosspost this in but also I want to say that I am not sure a stadium during a game is a nice place to be for a rabbit.

what little i know about rabbits i would have thought it would not survive knowing it was in a crowd that large, like the panic would cause it to spontaneously turn into fur. my diploma from hollywood upstairs veterinary school has yet to arrive, why?

Therapy rabbit = this isn't his first rodeo. He's been handled by strangers a lot, and always with a positive outcome. Probably in increasingly large groups of people.

Disclaimer: Hollywood Upstairs Veterinary School waitlisted me, so grain of salt.

If this was a rodeo, where's his little saddle?

Edit: wait, I was thinking of the ballet, disregard

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

In the ballet "Rodeo," there aren't any little saddles. Nor any animals. The Cowboys and Cowgirl pretend to ride horses, but it's just Dancing. ;-)

how can they have a ballet without any bears? that's really avant garde

But who's the therapy rabbit for the therapy rabbit?

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 42 points 2 days ago

probably all the people constantly affirming his value and self worth

That rabbit is massive. What kind of steroid protocol have they got him on

[–] cannedtuna@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago (1 children)

HOLY CRAP! I have a picture of my kid posing with this rabbit from when we visited SF a while back. The rabbit was hanging out in courtyard of the hotel we stayed at. He even still has the same hat!

This rabbit has a more exciting life than I do.....

[–] softcat@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I hope he enjoyed the game

Imagine him getting back to his pals, completely fine with all the bunny handling but really pissed at a fumbled catch.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That rabbit is probably terrified. Rabbits are prey animals.

That's a Flemish Giant (breed).

Historically they are a utility breed used for their fur and meat. In the modern day, they are no longer commonly raised for meat, due to their slow growth and very large bones, and are raised for exhibition at rabbit shows. They are often kept as pets as they are known for being docile and patient when being handled.

It's like dogs. Different breeds. Some dogs have had their hunting instincts bred out of them.

That's great and all, but what if... what if he needs to go to the toilet?

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Yeah. He can't just go wherever. This isn't Progressive Field (Cleveland).

[–] funbreaker@kbin.earth 3 points 2 days ago

ugh I wish they had one for both Principal park and the Field of Dreams Stadium over here in Iowa.
