A decade ago, my friend went on a tinder date with a guy who said he worked in "protection services". After the third date, he admitted that he's actually a cop, which she was on the fence about. He begged her to stay.
Then after three months of dating, she broke up with him, deleted her social media, lived with her parents a few states away, and cut off all contact with everyone who known her.
Only about a year ago did she finally reconnect with her social group.
So yeah, that gut check is important.
Not surprised she did all of that you basically can't break up with a cop
And.. they don't understand what a body count is and start confiding in you about all the people they murdered.
Sounds like a load of fun.
I sure like wasting my time with someone who I know would dislike something essential about me.
But hey, you go sis, stick it to the man.
Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Thanks for the link. That’s definitely true and my comment was moreso just a criticism of the prison system in general.
I’ve also archived that NPR article here because there’s certainly a possibility that “woke” (read: truthful) NPR content could start disappearing if they get defunded or otherwise targeted
No worries! Prison and jail are well worth criticizing. They charge you for anything they can get away with.

In my experience growing up in the South...a lot of conservative women have a ridiculously high body count that they hide once they settle down.
So this scenario happens a lot.
That's a lot of manky sex to put up with just for a joke
If I were her I’d make sure to tell him in a very public place, and only if he didn’t know where I lived or worked.
Imagine putting up with a conservative man for months, just to try to prank him about the number of sexual partners you’ve had. That says volumes more about the mental state of the pranker than the unfortunate life choice of the prankee.
It's a joke man.
Kind of a dangerous move even if he’s not violent or abusive. The conservative “jokes” will rub off on her just like it’s done to girls I know.
This is definitely the funniest argument against this idea in the thread.
