Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).

So true! Robots and AI, what really would impress is a machine that wash, dry and folds clothes.

It's these terrible single washer/dryer combos that are the cause of this pain. I can only assume their popularity is because they are small and cheap.
It may be the one thing America gets right - overwhelming people have larger washer / dryers with dedicated washing and drying sections. Takes up more space and I'm assuming requires hookups that aren't common elsewhere, but man, they are SO much faster and far more effective. You can be done with all your laundry in a couple hours tops - and I'm talking like 1-2 weeks of laundry all at one time.
Meanwhile we have one of these, and I feel like we're doing small loads of wash the entire week. And don't even bother with the dryer setting on it - for 90% of items, you're just spending 6 hours raising your electricity bill.

I had one back in the day which was the same load size as normal washing machine and had two modes of drying. First is like you say. The other, if you hook up an exhaust duct, dried clothes in the same time as a regular dryer.
I though the US is the home of washer/dryer combos? Never seen them in Europe.
I have never in my live seen a washer/dryer combo, but that does seem pretty stupid. Like just hang your cloth to dry, it's not that hard
But why bother? I have a machine like that. I can put my clothes into it for a short cycle while I'm running, and after one hour I can wear clean and dry clothes again. It works great. It saves a lot of time and effort.
Turn around, there's more laundr-EEEEE-ee-EE-eee-EE-ee-EEEE!
