For a 10% coupon, ssh into localhost and enter code sudo rm -rf /*

[–] Croquette@sh.itjust.works 83 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

You talk about vibecoding buddy, you think they SSH into anything?

[–] Luffy879@lemmy.ml 30 points 2 weeks ago

If the AI tells them to

[–] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 25 points 2 weeks ago

Hey vibecoding is real and stop shushing me!

[–] kittenzrulz123@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

They probrally dont even use WSL, they likley use Windows 11 and a browser

[–] Jumuta@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 weeks ago

"free ssh online"

[–] Ansis100@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

OpenSSH actually comes bundled with Windows so no need for WSL

Yes but powershell is so incredibly unbearable to use that nobody bothers

[–] Tungsten5@lemm.ee 4 points 2 weeks ago

They ssh into your mom

[–] veroxii@aussie.zone 4 points 2 weeks ago

Or use sudo?

[–] n3cr0@lemmy.world 55 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Doesn't work for me. You forgot half of the coupon code.

Here's the correct coupon code: sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root /

[–] exu@feditown.com 8 points 2 weeks ago

/* doesn't require --no-preserve-root, you're not trying to delete root after all.

[–] folaht@lemmy.ml 121 points 2 weeks ago

I had no idea I was hosting Vibecon, but I registered regardless.

[–] MTK@lemmy.world 60 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I registered at "C:\Users\mtk\Desktop\vibes.html"

[–] DaMonsterKnees@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And now I'm sitting here like, is Michael Terrence Kent, THIS fucking bold? Well, MTK, what is it?!

[–] MTK@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Yes, I am him, the person you wrote

[–] elucubra@sopuli.xyz 57 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Why is this fucker exposing my IP?

[–] InputZero@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

That's impossible because that's my IP and I know for a fact that IP addresses are unique to each computer. Unless there's a way to Translate the Address every time you hop to a different Network, but that's never going to happen so I know you stole my IP.

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Haha, im going to hack you now! So long, sucker!

[–] Opisek@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Why did my Internet stop working? I DoSed OP's IP address.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 2 weeks ago

This is the funniest comment I've seen today. But also, how did you both get my IP?!?!

[–] stebo02@sopuli.xyz 43 points 2 weeks ago

vibe coding sounds way cooler than it is

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 19 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

We should host a parody (online) conference, where we talk about things we know jackshit about, but if we were experts.

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] filcuk@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 weeks ago

Just anywhere on the Internet, really

[–] gwilikers@lemmy.ml 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] Walop@sopuli.xyz 46 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

You ask an LLM to code something and then just run the code blind without reading it and if it seems to work, publish the application. You can imagine how many performance and security problems it produces.

[–] filcuk@lemmy.zip 21 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I used to laugh at these, but I've just been asked to help with an issue where I work and what do you know... long story short it's not funny to me anymore

[–] Opisek@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

Not funny because you're afraid the AI will take your job away right? Right?

[–] gamermanh@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 weeks ago

Absolutely insane that anyone would do this

Meanwhile I'm dropping my config into my local AI asking "why the FUCK do I suddenly have no permission to write to a folder I've been using for days?!?!" Only to have the air go "hey dipshit you put /data/downloads in one spot and /data/download in the other, that's why, try not making typos that are real words in the future (I told my tech support persona to be mildly annoyed and in need of more coffee because I've never known an IT person not to be those things)

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

Already there

[–] nixigaj@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

If that is actually true then AI must have gotten really good at hacking into systems.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I registered. The landing page was really fancy. It said at the bottom that it was generated entirely by AI. It was honestly probably one of the nicest web pages I've interacted with. I'm looking forward to this exciting event.

[–] wondrous_strange@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Really? On myachine it looked like shit

[–] YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 7 points 2 weeks ago

More like "vibe doesn't fucking work and even the senior can't figure out why!" Coder

[–] PanArab@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Is this a joke or are they serious?

[–] whirlpoolbrewer@lemm.ee 8 points 2 weeks ago
