Quick! She NEEDS to Run for President! There's NO WAY it Can Fail!

-The DNC Probably!

[–] Aphelion@lemm.ee 33 points 3 weeks ago

Nah, she's way too young, and not a man.

[–] Sgt_choke_n_stroke@lemmy.world 105 points 3 weeks ago (8 children)

Hillary Clinton needs to sit this one out holy shit. I remember her getting paid by bankers to make "speeches" when she was running for president.

https://www.politico.com/story/2015/05/bill-and-hillary-clinton-made-roughly-25-million-in-speeches-since-2014-118009

I hate trump for all of his corruption. But holy shit she's no better

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 53 points 3 weeks ago (12 children)

No, she's a lot better, but the bar Trump has set is that low.

[–] rmuk@feddit.uk 47 points 3 weeks ago

I can't remember who said it, but:

"Hillary Clinton represents everything wrong with American politics. Donald Trump represents everything wrong with America."

Now do the same for political donations and PACs

[–] Soup@lemmy.world 25 points 3 weeks ago

Any of her “definitely worth it” speeches, too.

[–] Ostrakon@lemmy.world 53 points 3 weeks ago (8 children)

Fuck off Hillary. Nobody asked you. You fumbled 2016 and gave us this asshole in the first place, and you should have the decency to hide in shame the rest of your miserable life.

All these pushes to keep Hillary relevant is so tone deaf. Waiting for the day some doofus tries to tell me why we can't find better representation from the 350,000,000 people in the united states.

If you're a Qatari prince, $400m is trivial. If anyone would give a genuinely free jet, they would.

That being said, this one is not a gift. It's manipulation. Stroke Trump's ego and pretend you like him and he'll do whatever you want, as long as you make him think it's his idea.

Oh no, better stop being nakedly corrupt Trump or you might get sLaMmEd again

Nothing wrong with speaking from experience.

[–] tehfishman@lemmy.world 17 points 3 weeks ago

I would really appreciate this twisted timeline we're in featuring the Clintons openly acknowledging that they know how corruption works from experience as a way to derail the current corruption train that we're all tied down in front of. The writers need to demonstrate that they haven't completely lost the plot or I'm cancelling my subscription

Comments about the president of the US receiving a bribe: 3

My brother in Christ, there are a thousand other threads about Trump being corrupt full of people lamenting Trump being corrupt.

But this post is like hearing Al Capone chastise Pablo Escobar over organized crime.

Hillary is just jealous she has to hide and do it slowly for years whereas Trump doesn't give a single fuck and do it the obnoxious way for 2 times more money.

The Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee called for using far-right candidates “as a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right.” Clinton’s camp insisted that Trump and other extremists should be “elevated” to “leaders of the pack” and media outlets should be told to “take them seriously.”

She may not be playing now, but I feel it's fair to point out that Hillary has played some stupid games - the American people reap the stupid prize.
