Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Any woman-identified person under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is welcome.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.

We often find it hard to allow ourselves good things, or think we're not worthy of them. But we do deserve them!

Instead of thinking of reasons we don't deserve things, lets think differently. Why do you deserve good things?

Because despite how my mother treated me. I was only a child, I didn't deserve that. I deserved love, kindness and respect and I still do. Now I'm just learning how to accept it cause it's still weird when people are nice to me. But like a good weird.

I wasn't buying myself jewelry because of something someone said to me once.

There was a blowout sale a few weeks ago at a department store that was going out of business. I couldn't say no to 70% off so I bought myself some damn jewelry.

Now I just need to convince myself I deserve to wear it. Baby steps.

Writing this out made me think about how the things people say to us can really become our own inner dialog about ourselves.

I have a long inseam and yet one of my exes told me I have "stubby legs" and that's all I see when I look in the mirror. That was also when I was in the best shape of my life. Good grief, what an asshole. Good riddance!

Absolutely with you on that, one of my exes told me that flirting while doing my favourite sociable hobby would be creepy and spoil it for other people ... I took that on board for some reason, even though we had met by her flirting with me doing that same hobby.

Long story short - wear your jewelry, I bet it looks awesome :-)

If I try to answer that, steam comes out of my ears and I get nowhere. So I imagine the question is "why does a friend deserve good things", and that leads me to think anyone inherently deserves good things, and from there I remind myself that I am included in "anyone" too! 😊

I'm in my 40s, I've scrimped and saved to be able to buy a house and kit it out. I've denied myself a lot to get where I am, so I deserve to treat myself now I can.

I've worked REALLY hard in the past, doing 2 jobs and doing hard jobs like chambermaiding. It's ok to be nice to myself.

Everyone deserves to treat themselves! I deserve the same kindness I'd show other people.

I'm in my 40s, it's ok to slow down and do less. Slowing down is a treat I deserve!

absolutely! You have worked really hard and more than deserve to treat yourself 💖

I got up at 4.30 this morning to do an extra shift for work ... the money is good, but I'm now shattered. So, I had some chocolate cake.

I'm going to walk the dogs now to balance that out, lol
