Kinda. MTG is ragging on Fox News, sure, but she's also both-sides'ing media outlets on the left with her full quote:

We have propaganda news on our side just as the left does

She's fishing for people to agree with her which legitimizes her claim that left-leaning news networks are just as untrustworthy as Fox News, which is and untrustworthy news outlet, but she doesn't say shit about Breitbart or OANN or any of the other right-wing superspreaders of misinformation.

So, she is a broken clock that's currently pointing at the correct time, but she did it in a way to sneak in an untruth or two in there hoping that people would pick up on that and amplify the message.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 4 hours ago

I prefer "stopped clock," since broken clocks can often continue ticking, albeit at the wrong speed.

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 13 points 5 hours ago

Exactly.

Fuck, I agree with MTG this morning? And I was off to such a good start today.

He thought it was a learning seminar about brainwashing hoping to use it for more 'statutory' shenanigans.

[–] Saleh@feddit.org 8 points 5 hours ago

She already opposed "anti-BDS" laws that would criminalize Americans for publicly declaring that they will not buy products for political reasons.

While she is a terrible person all around, she is consistent in asking "does this help America" in her idea of what "America" is supposed to be.

Evidently wasting billions on Israel, getting US soldiers killed and forbidding people in the US from voicing their opionion including on what to buy and not to buy is detrimental to the US.

[–] zaph@sh.itjust.works 14 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Russia is pro Iran so it wasn't entirely unexpected.

[–] Saleh@feddit.org 3 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Russia is not so much "pro Iran" as it is keeping an ambiguous relationship with Israel and Iran. Russia let Israel bomb Iranian militias in Syria. Israel sold drones to Russia after Russia invaded Crimea. Israel even demanded Ukraine to just give up against Russia behind closed doors. Netanyahu praised Russia and Putin in the past months and Israel refrained from demanding sanctions on Russia since the full scale invasion 2022.

I believe that MTGs position is coming from a sincere "MAGA" position. Why should the US let Israel dictate what it is doing and what it is not doing? Why should the US on top of it pay billions to Israel for Israel to drag the US around?

[–] Dozzi92@lemmy.world 3 points 35 minutes ago (1 children)

This is one thing that bothers me. I hear people talk about Trump's policies being isolationist, but this flies in the face of that. If youre going to do a thing, do that thing all the way, none of this picking and choosing. If you want to cut the US off from the world, just fucking commit to it. It's not my ideal course for the country, but I just want consistency.

[–] ParadoxSeahorse@lemmy.world 1 points 27 minutes ago

The trouble is, they don’t gaf about general policy, the only policy they care about is “what makes rich people richer” and that economic policy is ill-defined and has a lot of guesswork involved, so you can’t expect coherent or consistent policies aligned with traditional politics

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 9 points 9 hours ago

Populism works because it taps into actually existing grievances. Or creates them, but in this case it's option A.

Plus she's an actual Nazi type.

Is that her face?

Is that the sound of fast-approaching leopards?

Is it face-eating season?

[–] Wilco@lemm.ee 3 points 6 hours ago

I dont even think leopards would want to eat her face ... she has those crazy chimpanzee eyes that are too close together.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago

I want to hear the crunch in THX when the leopard clamps down.

Probably. Tucker Carlson is saying the same thing, so their handlers are telling them “nope, we don’t like that”.

The moment when craziest person is giving you most sane advice ...

[–] BoycottPro@lemm.ee 7 points 8 hours ago

MTG is brainwashed by RT, tin foil hat conspiracy theories and memes from random people. Basically Fox News and NY Post are not crazy enough for her.

[–] Artyom@lemm.ee 40 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

A republican being anti-Fox News? That's a bold strategy.

[–] jubilationtcornpone@sh.itjust.works 33 points 11 hours ago (6 children)

I have heard some people refer to Fox News as being, and I quote, "liberal."

In fairness, these people are part of the MAGA crowd, so I assume they can't actually read and have no idea what the word "liberal" means.

[–] ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 8 points 7 hours ago

"Liberal" is just another slur to them, like "woke."

[–] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 6 points 8 hours ago

During Trump's first term, Fox pushed back just slightly on some of the shit he was trying to pull. Turned out even Fox wasn't entirely comfortable with Trump being president. However, this backfired and pushed some viewers to OAN because Fox had spent the last couple decades training their viewers to hate anyone who even slightly opposes a Republican president. Of course, that increased OAN's profile, which got them on Trump's radar. Trump loves them because they won't stop sucking his dick, so he promotes them to his followers, so now a bunch of people that used to religiously watch Fox now religiously watch OAN and think that Fox isn't conservative enough.

They made a monster and it slipped its leash.

[–] Gsus4@mander.xyz 8 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (1 children)

at this rate, she's going to go so conservative that she'll end up out of a job, because women voting or getting elected is "woke".

Before you get too excited, this was an interview with OAN, and that she thinks people should be paying more attention to OAN

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 8 points 8 hours ago

Going on OAN and calling Fox News right wing propaganda is peak irony.
