Rules

While we are not an official Mozilla community, we have adopted the Mozilla Community Participation Guidelines as far as it can be applied to a bin.

Rules

  1. Always be civil and respectful
Don't be toxic, hostile, or a troll, especially towards Mozilla employees. This includes gratuitous use of profanity.

  2. Don't be a bigot
No form of bigotry will be tolerated.

  3. Don't post security compromising suggestions
If you do, include an obvious and clear warning.

  4. Don't post conspiracy theories
Especially ones about nefarious intentions or funding. If you're concerned: Ask. Please don’t fuel conspiracy thinking here. Don’t try to spread FUD, especially against reliable privacy-enhancing software. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Show credible sources.

  5. Don't accuse others of shilling
Send honest concerns to the moderators and/or admins, and we will investigate.

  6. Do not remove your help posts after they receive replies
Half the point of asking questions in a public sub is so that everyone can benefit from the answers—which is impossible if you go deleting everything behind yourself once you've gotten yours.

I do trust them... Even though there's some trying to spread doubt and mistrust in here. I wonder if it is Chrome fanboys, that just doesn't like Mozilla?

Can only speak for myself but I'm some sort of neoluddite with a passionate hate for both the AI hype and Google.

Even if the people in charge of Mozilla are acting in good faith, I believe they are repeatedly shooting the whole organization in the foot with their stupid-ass decisions.

I used to feel lke Mozilla represented my interests online. Now they act as if they are just another tech company working to create technology I hate.

I still use FireFox on all my devices. I don't trust some random fork, WebKit browsers are just not stable enough on Linux, and I refuse to use Chromium. But my god I'm tired of Mozilla's shit.

core_of_arden@feddit.dk it's people that need to be right all the time, or people that just need to feel superior/vindicated.Don't know if I'd say it's a conspiracy, though.

They say that until that Google money runs out and they get desperate enough to make the line go up.

Enshittification stops at no company, they are all going to do it unless we stop them legally.

Was using Firefox for over a decade and now switched to LibreWolf.

Translation is something the LLMs are pretty good at. It makes sense to use them for it, though obviously it should be a separate product and not part of Firefox.

The rest looks completely useless to me.
