The evidence released so far suggest Tyler Robinson could potentially be linked to a movement like the Order of Nine Angles or 764.

Which is why things have gotten quiet. The narrative isn't supported.

Nah, they're trying to say that he was radicalized by the left based on an anonymous report by one of his supposed friends. You know, the kinda friends he'd have that would 100% lie about that and stay anonymous so people can't fact check 'em. Or the anonymous person was just someone trying to keep up the momentum and didn't even know him. Either way they are falling for it.

Trump speech. Got it.

Hopefully this wakes everyone up to how fast the GOP is willing to nail civility to a cross the second they have a half decent excuse. They were actively calling for a civil war and calling for the slaughter of their neighbors.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 25 points 2 weeks ago

They’ve been doing that for years. Believe them. Get armed.

I'm suspicious on the donation document. It's listed as entrepreneur when I'd seen he was in an electrician apprenticeship. Tyler Robinson is a common name, are we sure this is the same Tyler Robinson?

I think you're right to be suspicious of everything right now. This article at least frames most of this as speculation. The groyper stuff seems a bit harder to dismiss, since the FBI decided to release evidence that really makes that case, despite them trying to frame it as "antifa."

[–] HotDog7@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago

I appreciate you posting this, and the article. And I agree with you on the groyper bit too. I'm still waiting for more evidence to make up my mind fully.

CNN recently reported it was in fact a different Tyler Robinson

[–] glitches_brew@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

I'm not super familiar with Vaush or his content so I don't want to immediately assume correctness but in a recent of his on the topic he stated that there is another Tyler Robinson that lived nearby the one in question who was responsible for that donation.

I think that Tyler was a quality boy and I’d like to see more people making America great again like he did.

[–] magic_lobster_party@fedia.io 12 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Doesn’t matter if he’s MAGA or not. Trump and his supporters will weaponize this event either way.

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

The Wall Street Journal, which has fucked up and had to issue a retraction already, is currently saying he's independent but highlighting Cox calling him ultra-leftist. So the general tone of the article is still, this guy's a dangerous dem.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago

If it's true that he's far right, everything fair so far has, the potential to backfire in an insane way.

Trump himself made a public address about Charlie and said "radical left political violence has hurt too many innocent people and taken too many lives."

If this was radical right violence, it's a fucking huge deal. Not because of the event, but because of the reaction.

Lol, O9A. Trying to do a bomb the mosque moment.

[–] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

It is ridiculous how fast they passed from the "civil war" narrative to "Charlie Kirk was a very compassionate man, jesus wants you to forgive your enemies" lol.

[–] infinitesunrise@slrpnk.net 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Lol imagine if the guy who nailed Kirk with a single shot at 220m hated guns. This article is dumb.

[–] protist@mander.xyz 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

*Headline. You only read the headline.

[–] infinitesunrise@slrpnk.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

Nah I clicked through and skimmed to confirm. I don't think you're dumb just the article.

[–] Eternal192@anarchist.nexus -4 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I guess he's the next Luigi, no conclusive evidence, just a scapegoat, will probably get a perp walk just to show they are still in "control".

[–] whiwake@lemmy.cafe 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I hope the next one draws little penises on the bullet shells

Cops can still coax a confession out of suspects even with no physical evidence
