Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Only the most omegabrained of libs have the IQ to understand that exposing trump as a known sex offender is what will defeat him.

Wait a second

[–] Windex007@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago (3 children)

To be fair, this is the only thing Trump has made any attempt to cover up.

It's the one thing HE thinks could bring him down

[–] Fleur_@aussie.zone 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No? He's come kicking and screaming for all his scandals. Stormy Daniels? His taxes? Him losing the election and encouraging revolution? You could show America a certificate signed by Epstein, Trump and God himself saying that Trump is part of an international pedophile ring and half the country wouldn't care, the other half would just use it to fuel their sense of moral superiority.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You seem to be arguing pretty strongly against us pushing this topic. Trump is doing the same... Not sure why anyone would want to help the guy like that, but here we are.

[–] Fleur_@aussie.zone 1 points 1 week ago

You're making up my opinion in your head and arguing against that. You could just ask what I think, but here we are.

[–] anarchiddy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 week ago

Lol, what?

He literally has a felony for bribing a porn star to stay quiet about their affair

[–] Randomgal@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

You think the convicted rapist king-above-the-law is concerned about more of his felonies coming out? Specially the ones that everyone already knows?

What a disconnect with reality. Lol

Oh shit, guess Americans are no longer able to Vote anymore. Sad day indeed.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 45 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Fun fact: for millions of Americans, voting IS deliberately made extremely difficult if not downright impossible so that the fascists are competitive in elections in spite of only ever appealing to an ever-shrinking minority of potential voters.

The number of votes that the Mango Mussolini "won" by was significantly lower than the number of voters effectively disenfranchised, and that was also the case in dozens of Senate and House elections that other fascists "won".

Ok, not that fun, but it IS a fact.

[–] princessnorah@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 week ago

Even if you can vote, the likelihood you're in a gerrymandered district where your vote isn't gonna matter is pretty high. Let alone the electoral college.

[–] anarchiddy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

only ever appealing to an ever-shrinking minority of potential voters.

Fascist candidates are appealing to ever-greater numbers, not fewer

The number of votes that the Mango Mussolini "won" by was significantly lower than the number of voters effectively disenfranchised

This part is true , but i suspect not for the reason being implied.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Not in proportion to the total population. While there's a worrying trend of voting age and younger Gen Z men being sucked in by the manosphere bullshit, their core Red or Dead constituency is still so old and (due to their disdain for public health) sickly that they're dying faster than they can be replaced by new converts.

This part is true , but i suspect not for the reason being implied.

Which reason do you suspect, then? Leprechauns?

Regardless of whether there's a causal link, I'll never consider a party that systematically disenfranchises people as legitimate winners of elections, least of all ones they've specifically tampered with themselves and "win" by a lower number of votes than they've eliminated from the rolls for no valid reasons.

[–] anarchiddy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago

Not in proportion to the total population

No, that's what I mean - sounds like you're referring to the total republican base as fascist (under normal circumstances I'd be fine with this generality), but my point is that fascist sentiment within that cluster has exploded in popularity.

True, gerrymandering is disenfranchising millions of democratic voters, along with closing polling locations - but the disenfranchising I'm more concerned with is the voting block being pushed into nihilism by a lack of action by the opposition. That makes the fascist party far more attractive to even typically moderate voters who might not agree with the more violent aspects of fascism but agree that stronger action is necessary.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 week ago

In America criminals lose the right to vote.

The American government just labeled Antifa a "terrorist organization".

Who is Antifa? Anyone the Republicans don't like.

Now anyone that is going to vote "the wrong way" they can charge with bring Antifa and take their vote away.

[–] theUwUhugger@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Its an undemocratic country with uncountable amounts of warheads

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It can be both. Trump's predilections are a problem, but more personal than national. The fascism is a multi-generational problem, but if the Epstein issue can help slow his progress, so much the better. It's the biggest weakness we've found so far, aside from Italian gas stations.

[–] FundMECFS@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He was literally found liable for rape and he didn’t take a hit. It’s not even new he’s friends with epstein we’ve known since his first run.

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's been really amazing how unaffected he is by his many many scandals.

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 week ago

Fascists couldn't care less about assaulting women, children, etc. That's literally their platform.

[–] Ghyste@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

But also the destroying democracy things too.

[–] Fleur_@aussie.zone 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Trump's gonna release the files on the same day he ends term limits, halts elections and institutes martial law. Everyone's gonna be too busy reading them and smug posting online to do anything about it. All the democratic elected officials will tweet "violence is never the answer, we must trust in our democracy and revolt in the polling booth" in response to 5 wounded veterans who blew up schools in Iraq under obama holding a protest in a rural Walmart parking lot over gas prices.

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Okay but gas prices are pretty crazy.

[–] Fleur_@aussie.zone 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

DW once trump "democratises" the Iranian oil fields your vroomie juice that kills the planet will be 2 cents cheaper per litre not adjusted for inflation

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm just saying; the guys who blew up all those schools kinda have a point!

[–] Fleur_@aussie.zone 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah, I mean after they blew them up all the surviving children grew up to be terrorists. Proof that it was a legitimate target.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

the release of the unredacted epstein files are one the few things people across the statesian political spectrum agree on, hence why it's become a rallying cry.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The problem is when there is something happening as bad or worse than the files that is being discussed and you see someone saying yeah but what about the files

no disagreement, just that's why it keeps popping up.

It is taking on a Benghazi "buttery males" type of rhythm.

[–] Philharmonic3@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

We gain nothing by criticizing each others actions towards freedom. Only in true solidarity are we strong.

Liberals are not on the side of freedom.

They're on the side of "ok, maybe just 75% of the way to fascism",

The side of "the solution is to fund the police",

And the side of "the personal crimes of the head fascist are more important to focus on than the fascism itself"

And the libs are helping how? Did what during their time in power?

[–] MonkCanatella@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

A meme lampooning the follies of liberals
