hey, if anyone here feels like that right now, and you're to afraid to hurt someone you know with the shit you're going through, i volunteer te be your crypillow if you ever so wanted to.

I was in there for years.

You're really strong if you're still going like that. But this is not the way. You're too underappeciative of yourself. Everyone else with a head on their shoulders sees of you more, than you of yourself right now. You're not lazy, youfre traumatized. It's only human to avoid distress. Those who tell you otherwise just forgotten, that they chose this.

People tend to not see, but the past was worse, the now is not that bad, and, gudging by the dynamics, despite all the headlines, the future will be better.

It's only human to stumble, but it's just as human to want to help when you see someone stumble. Don't be shy to accept help. We all can see how actually strong, not mere how strong you think you are. We can see you. Grab a hand. It'll help you get up.

It's a horrible paradox that left me trapped in a life I hated but had no energy and too much fear to escape.

It’s sounds like you got out. How did you do that?

More like I am right now trying to dig myself out. I found a therapist that challenges me and calls out my self limiting thoughts and how much I am ruled by fear. I'm doing a lot of stuff I wasn't before like exercising and applying to jobs but I still easily fall back into comfortable misery.

As someone who has been in that position previously; Keep going, you're doing excellent!

Please remember that when battling the fear you don't need to win every single time, just enough to be the majority of the time. Even the smallest amount of progress is still progress.

You set the goals, so set the 1% minimum as low as you possibly can. Don't aim for perfection, it is better to make a bad attempt and therefore make a little progress than feeling like you can't make any at all.

Progress is not linear. It might feel like you're putting in this effect for very little outcome. That's the nature of progress, it's a very slow increase overtime until the compounding of all your little 1% wins multiply and before you'll realise you'll be making logarithmic progress towards your goals. Working on yourself IS investing in your self which comes with compound interest!

And lastly, don't berate yourself if you fail. It's easier said than done, but this is what your therapist can help with. Acknowledge, accept, reflect, and move one step forward.

Every struggle is different as is the best method for each person to deal with it. Try different tools and techniques, stay away from anyone peddling a cure-all, ask for help whenever you want to, and keep a little fire of faith in yourself going.

You got this!
