Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

nobody was home, I was maybe 10 years old lying on a chaise lounge in my mom's room, sun was filtering in softly through curtains and I felt safe and happy

an even better one: I was 16 years old, lying on my girlfriend's couch in the afternoon while her mom read Wind and the Willows to me. I felt so safe and happy, and drifted into sleep.

These are both memories I sometimes return to when I want to remember what it feels like to feel safe, comfortable, and happy.

Hiking the grand canyon at like 6 was pretty cool but very spotty memories.

Watching the great grey hunter stalk a bird across the railing of the deck, leap at it, forget birds can go up, bird does just that, he does not, thump he goes off the edge of the deck into the snow covered bush.

A moment later he sulks inside shaking snow off with this look of "Don't talk to me about it"

The bush had a cat shaped hole that spring when the snow left.

Those are lovely memories!

I just made a really happy memory yesterday!

I’m visiting my home state right now. My partner and I went to dinner in a restaurant that has been around ever since I can remember (I’m in my 40s). It was always too expensive to eat when I was growing up, but we can afford it as adults. We ate food that had mushrooms grown and picked by the students at the high school I went to.

Then we walked to the cannabis dispensary that is around the corner from the hospital I was born in and lived down the street from for a while. I mentioned it to the workers and 3 of 5 people in that room were all born there too, it’s a small town and a big hospital. If you told me 15 years ago that the dispensary would be there, I would have laughed because cannabis was VERY illegal at the time.

I drove around town after just to see what has changed and pointed out cool stuff around town. Most of the homes in town were built in the late 1700s-1800s. I showed him the log cabin that was built in the 1710s and I told him the history of it. It was found when someone was renovating a house, the house had been built around the log cabin and they moved it into the center of town to become a historical site. I did my Girl Scout Silver award there.

We saw my Grandmother’s house, all of her neighbor’s homes, drove by where my friends used to live, and went by my old high school. Then we went to the hotel and took a walk to smoke a little. It was a really good night and it’s going to be a great memory.
