Is this that micromobility I keep hearing about?

You cannot drive with windows up, you wouldn't have enough elbow-space to steer!

a modest top speed of 15 km/h, similar to the speed of walking or a moderate biking pace

who tf is out here walking at 15km/h

Pretty sure the writer meant “running” but since they were trying to convey slowness WRT top speed, their brain instinctively swapped in the more appropriate-sounding word for their intent.

It’s a common human language error, examples of which I find increasingly charming.

yeah that's damn near my sprint when i was running marathons

I like that they wrote that the walking speed was comparable to a moderate bike pace lmao, like even if you don't know the numbers that's just obviously wrong

my bicycle has a "walking speed" button on the motor's controls. it goes 2mph (a little above 3 kph) and sometimes that's too fast. they have no clue.

Thanks for this. I was wondering if Yugo started production again - this time with a sub-subcompact. ‘Not sure what name would have been appropriate though.

A track race with these being the only type of vehicle would be very entertaining.

The first turn comes and all of them fall over on their sides. Then the bright idea comes along to treat the cars as curling stones on a long slippery road.

I'm picturing people who have worked exclusively on their upper body strength to the point they can just reach out and push to keep themselves upright. With some sport specific protective gear to help protect their hands and arms. The added bonus of people bulked up on top but with a noticeably less developed lower area would also be entertaining. Just think about someone with huge forearms sticking out the sides of the vehicle but then they get out of the vehicle they have have bony and undeveloped legs and waist. Sorta like the car they are driving.

In short It would be a sport I could enjoy watching.

Definitely a non-motorized-wheelchair-user sort of hobby/sport. They are often already built like that.

Roller blades on the hands

Hell yeah, they don’t even need an engine, just use those massive forearms to move these bad boys around
