I've been posting pictures here and there at the same time, but only the pictures I feel really confident with have ever actually been posted here. That's because my Pixelfed has my fans and they generally say positive stuff about my work, but...

you all are the general public, and good goddamn that's terrifying.

So here's all my work. I hope it's up to scratch.

Hmm, pretty good, but you would definitely be better if you had at least 5 more lenses and 1 or 2 more bodies. Filters don’t even count, they barely take up any space at all!

(To be clear, I’m joking/taking the piss)

Thank you for sharing all these gorgeous shots!

Wandered in here from All so I have no authority to speak on technique, but you certainly brought joy to my evening.

Gee, hard to believe Portland is a "war zone," eh?

Oh hi! You’re the one who was worried about the ghost cats in a box, and I said that cats will always get in any box they can!

Lemmy is a very small place. :)

I see a cockatiel, I click.

Generally I've found the peanut gallery at large on Lemmy to be supportive of genuine creative works. Even my own rather niche ones. I've only had one or two genuine assholes show up in the comments and they were soundly dogpiled by everyone else in short order.

I'm rooting for you. I think you're doing great.

(Side note, though. I suppose having both your face and actual physical location prominently displayed on the internet may be required for professional purposes, but man. That kind of thing skeeves me out, and always has done since the days of dial-up. I'd much rather remain an anonymous and tacitly heavily armed penguin residing in an undisclosed location, especially these days.)

Don’t forget full legal name! It’s right there in my username. I’ve just never had anything to hide.

Be more confident in your work - those were worth my time looking at!

Good for you. I have thousands of decent (and some truly good) photos, which no one will ever see. I have the art, but cant put it out there. Thank you for being brave and sharing a bit of yourself.

You have some fantastic photos there, I need to get on my own pixelfed account ( https://metapixl.com/stoy ) so I can like a few pictures.

I especially like the Seaplane photo and the Railroad photo.

I've been looking for an excuse to delete my instagram, including my profile for photography and I think you just pushed me over that hump! I didn't know a decentralized photography sharing platform existed. I'll have to do some more digging, but this is looking real promising for what I'm looking for

Pretty cool! I like the unknown spire and the library interior especially. I guess I'm into geometric/structural stuff.
