Anyone remember accidentally pressing the Internet button on your phone and panicing because you would not financially recover from that and then trying to close it but it would take like 10 mins to open before it could be closed?

You don’t need to pretend its 1995 if you are to futuristic to ask for the wifi password.

Though i do hope the owner keeps their act up and acts like they never seen anything like it (a smartphone)

It does make me wonder when this writing was put there and for how many total years it was actually relevant.

Surely they offer 1995 prices as well, right? Right??

In 1995 I just brought books with me to prevent people from talking to me

Wi-Fi is a specific protocol, but modern production grade wireless networking has existed since the 70s when the University of Hawaii pioneered wireless connections between campuses on different islands.

I'm gonna invest in Yahoo, I think they're going to be larger than Google one day.

Invest in both and see which one will be larger to minimise loss and maximise gains.

What's a google?

I'll be looking down my nose at all of you from high atop my perch on Altavista

Runs great on Netscape Navigator as well.

Do they have AOL or Compuserve then?

So, do you think that Fuckwad, Bob Dole, has any chance of being elected next year?

[–] Forester@pawb.social 9 points 1 day ago

Have you heard that new smash mouth band yet I think they're going to be pretty big.

Wait I like this. A bar where you can experience cultural moments as though they are happening live. June 17th is OJ simpson freeway chase day, pick a day in november for the exploding oregon whale. Live history

[–] petrescatraian@libranet.de 5 points 1 day ago

okay, how can I pretend I'm not born yet?

Boomer trap.

[–] CubitOom@infosec.pub 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The Oklahoma City bomber (Timothy McVeigh) was a white supremacist and left a copy of The Turner Diaries for all to find.

[–] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 5 points 1 day ago

Yes, but we're supposed to be talking like it's 1995. And just after the bombing, practically all of the media outlets were yammering on about the Muslims that most definitely did it.

I guess some things never change.
