Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

I stood up for myself at work.

I was asked to take on extra responsibilities, unrelated to my core job description, a few years ago that have forced me to work unpaid overtime frequently. I haven't gotten a single raise in that time, and poor leadership was making the role incredibly stressful. Having less time also led to me performing my main tasks worse. So I successfully got out of it this week. I was worried I'd be fired for asking if I could let the project go, but everything turned out just fine.

I ran into a lad recently who means a lot to me! He's lovely it was a really unexpected win I was so happy.

I had a really interesting job to deal with at work the other day, it was something a bit different. I did really well at it.

I started watching The Paper this week it's by the same team as the office. I absolutely love it! Also it stars the below angel...

My piercings have healed so I can finally wear a really cute pair of earrings I got!

What was it like? I want to get my ears pierced but I'm scared.

It didn’t hurt too much! The piercing itself was a tad painful but it’s quite brief. It will feel weird having earrings in at first but you quickly get used to them. Just be careful to not touch them too much, you could make it hurt a fair amount. I’d recommend looking up certified piercers in your area. They will know what’s best for you and they are very sweet people.

it hasn't been too bad for me. I got lobes pierced 2 months ago. there was some discomfort here and there. but I followed the directions I was given and kept them clean. this place uses registered nurses and was great. I just got them switched out there the other day because I was afraid to do it myself and I wanted them to look and make sure the healing was good. I have to keep wearing them all the time but now I can switch them back and forth myself if I want. I think constant ear piercing wearing for a year is what they recommended. and no hoops for a while. I bought an ear piercing pillow on Amazon. it's like sleeping on a fluffy donut but I'm used to it now.
