Your scientists spent so much time trying to figure out whether they could that they didn't stop and think about whether they should!

I thought the Wii could already play GameCube games?

Edit: Apparently only early Wii models supported this feature :(

and the one in the picture can, that's a gamecube controller plugged in.

If I remember correctly, "earlier" in this case means most of them but the last ones. I haven't seen one of these in my life.

*nintendo’s lawyers heavily breathing in the background.

Its funny that the Wii alone can play all the n64 and GameCube games out there. But that requires effort and this is way funnier in my opinion. Thank you for posting this OP.

Wii emulator for N64 isn't going to be as accurate as the real N64 console though.

It's there a GameCube in there somewhere? That would be pointless surely because of the Wii? In fact, why not included the WiiU instead? Three consoles in one! 😂

They reached out to the 12 people with a Wii U but no one was willing to give theirs up when the "buyer" insisted they didn't need the gamepad with it, just the console

Unironically this isn't far off. Wii Us are somewhat rare and sought after these days. It's one of the better ways to play Wii games on HDTVs iirc

It's a beautiful horrific monster.

I love it.

[–] Denjin@feddit.uk 13 points 3 days ago

Is that a Wii a DD and a N64 glued together? Beautiful.

EDIT: Beaten to it dammit

[–] stupidcasey@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

This must be the Nintendo my mother always asked if I was playing.

A fucking homunculus, jeeze

[–] twotonebax@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Is that thing just wrapped together with neatly layed out duct tape?

[–] morphballganon@mtgzone.com 4 points 3 days ago

Wii would've looked better on the bottom

[–] GerardsGuitar@retrolemmy.com 6 points 3 days ago

I genuinely thought this was a toaster at first

[–] Quexotic@infosec.pub 3 points 3 days ago

Like, does it do something? Does it actually work? Were they just glued together like some frankensteinian monster?

I need answers!

Hell yeah, I was hoping I wasn’t being too meta. Although I see I meant to say “sofa” and not “chronic”
