Wrong holiday, but how the hell is a brand new bag of Reese's pumpkins already all chalky and stale? It's not even Halloween, yet! Jesus didn't die for you to give me not-fresh damn Reese's! Fuck!

Easy ..... because that's the excess supply from last year being sold as new this year.

[–] errer@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

You’re lucky if it’s just from last year

All the seasonal candy is made like half a year in advance. They can't sell it after the holiday so it's better for them to make and ship it early. That gives them a buffer time-wise. Imagine some delay and all the candy only hit stores after the holiday? Straight into the trash. Which is why you shouldn't buy seasonal candy.

Okay, fair, but reese's holiday versions are straight up better. Not in price per unit, those fucking suck, but the easter and christmas versions are way better than their normal ones. Maybe it's just the ratio, or they put more sugar in or something, but I swear the trees/pumpkins/eggs are noticeably tastier.

I always attributed it to the peanut butter to chocolate ratio, until someone pointed out that the holiday ones are fresher than the regular ones. Everyone saying they're from last year, I think is flat out wrong. Even if the get made and shipped to stores 3 months early, that's still WAY more fresh than the regular cups that have been sitting in the gas station for 2+ years

Nail needs to be in the wrist.

This man up here ⬆️ crosses.

Well, they did use ropes, so this technique would work.

I'm not entirely sure that there are no religious fanatics who reenact the crucifixion. Using ropes for fixation and putting nails through the center of the palm, they would avoid crippling their hands severely.

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You have to do wrists to bear weight and nails in heels for the whole thing to function.

[–] Kornblumenratte@feddit.org 1 points 1 day ago

Only for the real thing. [Reenactors]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yZusqHYkVgU) don't want to wreck their wrist and feet and use ropes for suspension and nails for show. A pretty damaging show, still.

I'm not a believer, but I do love a caramel egg.
