Nujabes did in General a fantastic Job with the Soundtrack If you like the op you will probably also like the Album luv sic. My favorite Songs from him are Lady Brown and Feather.

Yep. Fantastic stuff. I tend to enjoy metal overall, but that specific kind of flow really gets me going.

It totally fits. Clips and video edits are more than welcome. I would only step in if somebody was intentionally trying to spoil things without providing a warning or if I felt they were posting so often it was spamming.

Regarding Samurai Champloo, it stands as one of my favorites of all time and I feel like the OST is half the reason for that.

Not only is the OST fantastic, it was used with an artist's touch with each scene.

Yes. The entirety of the show has this complete feeling. The drawing style and animation really make it incredible when the sound design is added. Truly a unique show.

Please do. It is, imo, the best ever alongside Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Quick edit to add Mushishi to the list.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

[–] jawa21@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 10 months ago

Mushishi

This one is truly special. I watched this show years and years ago and feel like I have been trying to chase that high ever since. One of my first ever posts to this community was about Mushishi.

[–] SteveFromMySpace@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 10 months ago

It’s on the list for sure just gotta make time 😅

[–] 0x0@social.rocketsfall.net 2 points 10 months ago

The OP to the second Mushishi season is soooo good.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

oh you're going to dig it.

At first I was like "man, this isn't Cowboy Bebop" but very quickly I realized it was completely its own thing and a great story in its own right.

I've actually rewatched it a couple times, which is very rare for me.

The music is all great also.

you're going to have a great watch.

I love a good score and that intro is definitely a bop

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I backpack a lot and the whole soundtrack is easy ambient walking music, often used that way in the show as they amble from town to town.

[–] jawa21@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 10 months ago

I often listen to it when camping as I look at the sky. The music is a masterfully crafted mood - one of adventure, hope, and found family.

I think we can add all JJBA openings and endings in the "no one skips" ^^.

[–] mo_lave@reddthat.com 1 points 10 months ago

Are you sure no one has skipped Part 5's OP?

[–] kamenlady@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

I also never skipped Dorohedoro's opening, it was always a pleasure.

[–] aStonedSanta@lemm.ee 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Have you seen space dandy? That intro fucking slaps also. I often replay it lmfao

[–] ReluctantZen@feddit.nl 1 points 10 months ago

Haven't watched Samurai Champloo (yet), but this sounds like an opening I'd skip tbh.

[–] KuroiKaze@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

I'm gonna counter and say I got bored and the pacing was too slow. Now that modern streams can run faster I might give it another go and see if I can find anything worth liking this time around at 1.75x.

[–] ChronosTriggerWarning@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

Kaiju No. 8 and Cowboy Bebop for me. Tank! is my ringtone.

[–] ssm@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

All the HunterXHunter OPs and EDs

[–] Zos_Kia@lemmynsfw.com 1 points 10 months ago

There's also the weird over the top intro song to paranoia agent! It felt so right with such a surreal series.
