Pushing for third party votes days before the election isn't the way. You've got to mobilize during the rest of the year, make moves in more local races, etc.

voting 3rd party is basically putting your vote in the bin

only in electoral college and winner-takes-it-all systems. in systems where parties can form a coalition and rule together, like in many EU countries, voting third party can add a small party to the winning coalition, so they can introduce ideas and influence compromises

Maybe if the third parties didn't come out of hibernation specifically for the election, and actually drilled hard on the years between, we'd see something. I hate the duopoly, too. But now is a losing strat.
