Even still.. I’ve seen devs do it with equally blank stares.
FYI: That is statistically not good for you or your boss. People who take lunches and breaks (even when forced to) are more productive than those who don't (on average) enough to offset lost time.
Also you should check social media and connect with loved ones between tasks to maximize your morale and productivity.

I agree, except for hat indoors. I’m a software engineer and I wear a cap all the time. Literally whenever out the house.

I wear hats 99% of days, but I am going to be unemployed in a week so maybe you're on to something. My near-perfect SATs might argue but it's not an excellent argument.
The MAGAesque hat and undercover agent mustache makes this slightly more believable to me.
