It stopped being funny about 20 years ago.

In English, it has to be any of the Contronyms. We have so many, and it really makes it hard for newer speakers to understand some things.

You dust a cake by adding powder, you dust a table by removing powder.
You seed a field by adding seeds, you seed a fruit by removing the seeds.

Is it a DMT trip, or do you just like the band Tool?

Relationships and conversations require both sides to put in effort, or else they die.

You say you know that they will be there when you need it, but are you sure? It doesn't sound like you're giving them what they need.

The only thing there that I use is Battle.net.

This might not be helpful, but I found that installing it through Lutris worked for me. Systems and OSs are different, so it may not work for you.

Use your computer to do the things you want, and if you need to use Windows to do it, use Windows to do it.

There's a large difference between these two sentences:

"Say goodbye to Tinder boys"
"Say goodbye to Tinder, boys"

This isn't really a question, but a very thinly veiled accusation.

Maybe post this somewhere that it belongs.

The OP is just a (low-effort/quality) parody account.

Here's their profile:

truth warrior fighting against the forces of oppression and ai and control and also hillary clinton in a world gone mad patriot defender of our great nation AMERICA and freeze peach

warning my content may be triggering to snowflakes and libtards so proceed with caution

I would like to inform you that Canadian gays love 2 shows from Oz; "Kath and Kim", as well as "Please like me".

Wentworth is a little extra, but it has it's camp moments.

So does this community, which OP also breaks.

Rule 1: Any drama must be posted as an observer, you cannot post drama that you are involved with.

Yep. He plays a much larger role in DISC

How, if possible, can I log in to say, discuss.online above, with this account. Or do I need to make a second account over there.

You can view/comment/vote on all of the content there while logged into lemmy.world. As an example, you should be able to click this !flipperzero@programming.dev and participate there. or !AskUSA@discuss.online.

Also, related, is there a way to just, use my Mastodon account, and drop this one completely?

I am not a fan of "microblogging", so I am not 100% certain. I have seen a lot of posts/comments from Mastodon on lemmy instances, they are the people using hashtags.

Kbin and Mbin are Lemmy-like systems that also hooks into microblogging much easier, so you might be able to do a one account thing there much easier.

Again, not certain because microblogging is not my jam.

Both bands have umlauts in their names, solely for stylistic reasons

"Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes"

The previous song was Imagine dragons, a band that is generally considered unwanted.

From the album "Mouth Moods," part of Neil's series exploring the ways to mash songs together, through the lens of Smash Mouth's effect on meme culture.

Grandma = gramma

This has a few caveats, you need to know what you're getting into.

This is a low-budget movie about homelessness in Winnipeg (Canada), in the 1990s. It's a "slice of life" movie, meaning that it's not about a tightly written story, but about trying to get a view into the lives of these characters.

It's about the bitter irony of being homeless and trying to sell a heater in order to survive while trying to not freeze.
It's not exciting, but it is my favourite holiday movie.

Alien.top's raison-d'etre is to create bots and repost things from Reddit.

The instance makes a bot with the same username as the poster from reddit, then makes a bot with the same username as all the commenters, and re-posts each comment.

Every alien.top user in this thread is a bot.

I did a quick check, and it looks like 138 of the comments are bots.
