Its more of "why do I need an account to use this service".

My boss used Scribe to show a step-by-step process on how to use a new tool at work. It was just screenshots of the desktop and some text. A powerpoint presentation would have sufficed, with no* account needed. (Well, work uses the Microsoft suite, but Libre Office has no account needed)

You used to be able to use that basic service without making an account. Now you are forced ro, so I uninstalled. Why do I need to make an account/provide an email to read news articles?

1 day to recover from work.

1 day to relax.

1 days to get ready for work.

Dark Souls 1 + Zweihander = pancakes everything

Elden ring + spirit summons* = 2v1 everything. *(its in the game. You're allowed to use it. Its not cheating)

Remember all the trailers for Battlefield V, and that got support for I think 2 years. This has even less trailers, so my bets are less than 2 years of support.

Not sky news but another Australian news site. Israel bombs Iran; Middle east conflict rises. Iran bombs Israel; Iran strike on Israel.

I recently finished Project Hail Mary. Then I saw the trailer for the upcoming adaptation. So annoyed they spoiled

TitleThe alien reveal. Trailer also implied that he volunteered for the mission. Book Grace obviously did not.

In the trailer.

Yet all the comments were overwhelming positive. Not sure why. I didn't even like the book that much, but that trailer pissed me off.

Didn't Spiffing Brit find a few infinite money glitches with Steam and/or YouTube?

Well. Too late. Still had more fun times than annoying times.

whats the rules on bots? am 99% sure there is one just painting over other peoples artwork (it only fixes the colours. doesn't touch anything else right next to it)

even if bots are allowed, its no fun trying to do something cool and it being overrun with more than 6 blocks in a row right after you do something

The only reddit thing here is the flags going across the canvas

It appears to be a serious video too. Lost brain cells watching it, so I don't reccomend

Cant wait for the day I can delete Discord and never look back.

1hr+ for a general update* (following the guide. Pre-kernel)

On a more serious note, gentoo is fun... On competent hardware. This is a 4 core Celeron N2940 with 4gb of RAM.

*emerge --ask --verbose --update --deep --changed-use @world is too long to type...

On the one hand, my father lost his dad when he was 12, so he is not perfect. I want to assume he is atleast trying his best. But this past year, "his best" was "OK with punching his children" and as far as I know, hasnt seen his grand children. (My sister has a kid. Living happy with her partner. Since sister and partner is not married, my dad doesnt acknowlege them.)

Im OK with skipping the birthday text to father, but mother (who i still talk to) insist i send the text.

Im following the handbook, and I'm up to configuring the kernel. (In a vm. Skipping the optional installing firmware/microcode for now)

Trying for an OpenRC system, but it looks like all the steps need systemd.

All the videos I watched seems to skip this step and just go to Kernel configuration and compilation, but I dont want to a) mix old videos and up-to-date handbook, and b) blindly copy commands. I understood mostly everything untill now. Just this kernel step where I got lost the first time I tried to install gentoo.

Younger brother asking how to get earn minecoins. You cant. Have to buy them. That dissapointment in his voice. The heart break i feel as the older brother.

Cant imagine on christmas, parenta go all in on the new system and popular game, then to realise that thier child cant have the max amount of fun* without paying extra.

On a more serious note, how does updating apps on gentoo work? I understand that everything is built on your system, but then if the app is updated, do you need to re-compile every time?

Daily drive a Pixel 7 Pro with GrapheneOS. Does 90% of my daily needs while use my PC for the last 10%. Planned to use a spare phone with Stock Android for my holiday. Pixel 7 SIM card tray broke inside the phone. I love the Pixel software features, but with this, fingerprint issues and past battery issues, i dont know if i want another pixel phone after this

Too embarassed to tell anyone I know IRL, but am excited for my new future. Been throwing alot of money with small things. PC, alcohol, movies (and im ashamed to say, funko pops). Recently i took the plunge and cut out alcohol in an attempt to get my life together, and i feel like i have a whole new start.
