Same, everything is nicely filed and stored. The only difference is that they live in a cabinet with extension cords, some random notebooks, a ceramic horse statue, 2 jars of weed, holiday decorations, a rock and a plastic dinosaur.

Put a blanket over the place that she scratches and/or a scratching pole somewhere near the sofa.

Generally the more scratching poles (or carpets on the floor) they have to scratch, the less they mess with furniture.
