Most of that still won't do anything because they don't have the numbers (like articles of impeachment). The house needs 4 Republicans to go against the pack to hit 50%.

I'm not saying it's not worth doing, but FlexibleToast was saying that all of that is posturing and won't accomplish anything.

The answer is that Democrats can't directly do anything, which was what the person you responded to was alluding to.

He's not ineffectual at being a cult leader with a rabid following, and he controls the DoJ

They're not scared of Trump personally doing anything to them.

It's possible for it to make it through the house, but the Senate definitely won't remove him.

Literally anything can be addictive. Humans love pressing the dopamine button. The features that Lemmy has which are shared with other social media platforms can definitely increase the addictive potential.

No. Toilet paper is specifically designed to rapidly break down.

There's a convenience food that is not available at most grocery stores. One that I would pay extra for. Day old refrigerated rice. I would make fried rice more often. in c/cooking@lemmy.world

It must be a regional thing, because here the stores have many different '90 seconds' bags of pre-cooked rice, including unseasoned.

That could be a reasonable amount based on the person. I'm a large framed dude, and when I was seriously trying to bulk through 7 days a week of HIIT, I had to eat like 5,000 Calories a day. My resting heart rate did get to the low 40s for a while, so that was cool (doctor said it was a good thing).

Btw, eating 5,000 Calories of healthy food a day fucking sucks. It's basically like eating is your full time job.

Exactly. I just cook the entire box, make enough sauce, then portion it out from there. No need to fuck with figuring out how much dry pasta is reasonable.

Hmm, I think Panasonic has software that can correct for some of that based on the lens initially used (it's been forever since I played with it, though).
